All Glories to Divine Mother!
I offer my prostrations at the Holy Feet of Divine Mother who chooses Her 16th name as KamniyaSvabhavini. ‘Svabhava’ means nature. KamniyaSvabhavini means She who is the intrinsic nature of that which is desired. A better comprehension of this name can be derived by having a look on musings on Name 15 . Name 15 and 16 are both interconnected. Divine Mother Kali exists in all animate and inanimate objects. She puts a part of Her in all that She creates and therefore stays deep rooted in everything. It is Her consciousness that stays in its subtlest and latent form in all sentient beings. It is the same Divine Energy that is manifest in the apparently inert objects.
Mother Divine is the innate essence of whatever is desired. The one who is desiring is also the same consciousness as is the object of desire. It is in this light that we keep hearing that the same Divine dwells in all. That there is One, Advaita and no one else, nothing else. The person who is desiring, the thing being desired and the action of ‘desiring’ are all the same. It seems a little complex to understand but that is what the play of Mother Divine is. The ultimate Maya of MahaMayavini. It is all Her play. It is She who creates this illusion of discrimination between the subject, object and action. Humans spend lifetimes after lifetimes caught up in the web of this illusion. It is through Her blessings though that She can free Her devotee from the clutches of Her Maya. It is She alone who chooses whom to set free and keep in Her lap forever.
