All glories to Divine Mother!
This one is my favourite. Short, simple and filled with sweetness that knows no bounds. Kali is the most supreme. She is the creator, preserver and destroyer of everything in the universe. She is the One who can create anything by Her mere wish in an instance. Nothing in the cosmos is equal or above Kali but Kali is over and above everyone. She is the One who has manifested Herself as Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. She is ParaShakti, the all powerful and all mighty. Kali means black. She is the One who has taken up a dark form. She has more than a thousand hands but She chooses to show four. Her left hands hold a scimitar which is Her weapon and a beheaded Munda which keeps oozing blood. Her right hands are in Var and Abhaya mudra bestowing immense blessings and boons on Her children. Kali takes on a fierce form but is limitless innocence manifested. Her kindness is such that She can be realized by simple, pure love for Her even if one doesn’t know any tantric rituals or practices. She comes running for the ones who have hearts full of love for Her. She is the Mother. She is caring, loving and ever protecting. Another understanding on why She is black is because black is all absorbing. All colours merge and become one with black. Similarly, all life, whatever be its shade, goes back and merges in black. Everything starts from Her and goes back to Her. Everything merges into my Kali!
Salutations to the One who prefers to be Kali!
